June’2017. Recently, I volunteered at Green Festival Expo, America’s largest and longest-running sustainability and green living event. The Expo had over 250 exhibitors showcasing body and health products, green fashion & accessories, sample vegan/vegetarian/organic food, yoga instructors, visionary speakers, and much more. Post volunteering, I got an opportunity to visit the booths with my fellow volunteer and I came across several products/activities/organizations which I was not aware of:
June’17. I love the month of June. June 5 is World’s Environment Day and back during my childhood, June in school started with group activities. We planted seeds, watered them and learned more about the cause. Years passed, I got busy with high school’s hard work, college ‘fun’ and now my days are all about work. But this time, with the onset of June, I planned to do something different on every weekend. June being my birthday month, I had all the reasons to try new things. I came across the Green Festival Expo online and thought of attending it but I changed my mind and volunteered instead, just to relive my childhood memories.
Dec’16. Malmö. The third largest city of Sweden is located in the Øresund Region with Øresund Bridge which connects Malmö to Copenhagen. Malmö has one of the largest schools for higher education in the country named Malmö University. Apart from Football, Malmö is also known for its ice hockey team named Malmö Redhawks.
Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.

Dec ’16. Saturday! Yes it was Saturday! My plans for Saturday? I had no plans for this day as the only thing I wanted to do was eat and sleep. I was jet lagged. I must say jet lag is not a big thing if you go out and enjoy your day but I had no plan.
Something that really caught my eye on my first day in Europe was the abundance of cobblestoned paths. I was mesmerized with the architecture there and I felt it was just yesterday when I used to read about Europe, Vikings, Cobblestones, etc.
Lund is a city in the province of Skåne near Malmö. It is an old, cobblestoned city. It is quite popular because of Lund University, established in 1666 and located in the centre of Lund. Lund University is one of the largest universities in Northern Europe. Lund Cathedral, Botanical Gardens, City Squares are some of the places to visit when one visits Lund.
Nov ’16. It all started on November 30th, 2016 when I packed my bags, cleaned my Brooklyn apartment for a sublet and waved good bye to my roommate. I stood there for a minute glancing across my room, lost in thought regarding what lay ahead for me for these few months and when I will see my room again, or will I? With this in my mind, I left for JFK airport, checked in, boarded my Norwegian Air Shuttle flight to Copenhagen, Denmark. And that’s how my two months’ business trip started.
Life comes with surprises! Sometimes they lead to sudden happiness but sometimes they churn our minds to a level that make it difficult for a person to act normally. Life comes with both and nobody can ignore these phases. Every person has their own way to cope with those times. Some react quickly on both and some just smile and keep themselves calm. It is really important to keep a check on how you are reacting because it not only affects you and your inner strength but also the people who love you, care about you and cannot see you sad.
